
In compliance with the requirement of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) following the appointment of the new employees and recognizing the importance of an empowered and productive workforce, the Batanes General Hospital (BGH) through its Human Resource and Management Section (HRM) under the Hospital Operations and Patients Support Service (HOPSS), conducts an On-Boarding Program Orientation for its Newly Appointed Employees on February 15-17, 2023 at the BGH Conference Hall.
Chief of Hospital Dr. Jeffrey Antony T. Canceran, represented by the CMPS, OIC-Chief, Dr. Martin Heginio C. Querubin Jr., emphasized in his opening remarks to internalize the importance of an empowered employee in developing soft skills like interpersonal relations, critical thinking, integrity, and the ethical standards which a government employee should embody.
The said orientation aims to acclimate to their workplace environment, a better understanding of the programs and services of the agency and to inculcate in them the qualities, attributes, and characteristics of a productive civil servant.
Salient features of the various laws involving public service were likewise discussed such as that of RA 6713 (Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees) RA 9485 (Anti-Red tape Act of 2007), RA 11032 (Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivering Act 2018), Strategic Performance and Management System (SPMS), and Anti-Sexual Harassment and Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313).
